1 West India Quay, London

The Opportunity

Following an inspection at 1 West India Quay, the London Fire Brigade issued an Enforcement Notice.

JFM Block & Estate Management appointed Anstey Horne to help assess the notice, identify the work required and strengthen fire safety management at the property.

The client needed clear advice on its existing procedures and documentation, the deficiencies identified by the Brigade and the steps needed to address them. The team also needed to interpret regulatory correspondence and prioritise remedial work while managing the risks at 1 West India Quay.

Our Approach

Anstey Horne’s Fire Risk Management team reviewed the Enforcement Notice and worked with JFM Block & Estate Management to develop a structured action plan for 1 West India Quay.

Through site visits and meetings with stakeholders, we examined the existing fire safety arrangements, explained the client’s responsibilities and set out practical actions to address the identified deficiencies. We worked with the client and its fire contractors to prioritise the highest-risk issues and coordinate the required remedial work.

Our advice gave the client a clear route through the enforcement process and helped improve fire safety management at 1 West India Quay. The work also led to further commissions at the property and elsewhere in JFM’s management portfolio.
